William Williams, Cefn Du Exercise Book

Scope and Content

An exercise book containing extracts from newspapers, poems, Welsh proverbs and some original effusions by William Williams. Also, notes on the population of Bangor and on clerical nepotism in the diocese. Family notes and pedigrees, drafts of business letters and reminiscences of sermons, especially those of John Elias.

Enclosed also is a manuscript in another hand, 1851-1852.

William Williams lived at Cefn Du, Gwalchmai, Anglesey in the early 19th century.
