Four diaries dating from 1833-1868 and the register of Bethel Baptist Chapel, Holyhead, Anglesey, 1825-1861.
Diaries are full of contemplative thoughts of a Puritanical nature. There are references to Christmas Evans and other religious figures such as John Lewis, Llanllibio. Also, entries relating to the Temperance Society, visits to Scotland and Ireland in1835 to collect money to pay the debts of Bethel Baptist Chapel, quarrels and debates, and the 1859 religious revival and its effects on Holyhead.
The chapel register, is written in the hand of William Morgan, and records such events as baptisms, deaths and the expelling of members from the chapel (with reasons). Once again, the effect of the 1859 religious revival is evident in the increase in number of chapel members.
