A collection of 26 letters, the majority of which are transcript copies.

Letters to Sion Wyn o Eifion from Dafydd Williams, 1820-1829.

Letters to Eben Fardd from Dafydd Williams, 1837-1859. Various subjects are discussed, including the railways where Dafydd Williams states that one railway is worth ten thousand Eisteddfodau as to its practical and beneficial results.

Letters to Eben Fardd from Sion Wyn o Eifion, 1823-1853.

Letters to Eben Fardd from Dr John Pughe (Ioan ap Hu Feddyg), 1844-1850. His letters testify that he came under the influence of the Plymouth Brethren whilst in Aberdyfi. He also writes about the publication of his translation on the physicians of Myddfai.

John Thomas, poet, also known as Sion Wyn o Eifion, was born in Clynnog, Gwynedd in 1786. When he was young, he was involved in a serious accident with a cart and as a result it is said that he spent 25 years confined to his bed. He died in 1859.

Eben Fardd, born in 1802 was a schoolmaster and one of the leading Welsh poets of his day. He died in 1863. For biographical information consult Eben Fardd by E.G. Millward (1988).

Dafydd Williams was a solicitor and businessman, a supporter of the railways and a Liberal M.P. for Merioneth, 1868-1869.

Dr John Pughe, 1815-1874, also known as Ioan ap Hu Feddyg came originally from Anglesey but was raised in Clynnog, where he met Eben Fardd. Whilst living in Aberdyfi he came under the influence of the Plymouth Brethren. He was also responsible for the translation of The Physicians of Myddfai.
