Administrative / Biographical History
Lloyd Kenyon was created Baron Kenyon of Gredington in the county of Flint in 1788. He was born in 1732, became chief justice of Chester in 1780 and later became master of the rolls. From his marriage to Mary, daughter of George Kenyon Peel, he had three sons.
An MA thesis by Kenneth Lloyd Gruffydd 1981 provides a history of coal mining in Flintshire, The development of the coal industry in Flintshire to 1740, 1981.
