Two essays on the subject of Welsh musicians, namely, Ieuan Gwyllt, John Parry, Rhiwabon, Edward Jones (Bardd y Brenin), John Parry (Bardd Alaw), John Thomas (Ieuan Ddu), Maria Jane Williams, Aberpergwm, Brinley Richards, John Owen (Owain Alaw), Gwilym Gwent, John Ambrose Lloyd and Dr. Joseph Parry.

Also, a register of members of the London Welsh Choir, sessions 1878-1882 and a cash account, 1878-1883 in the hand of Hugh Edwards, secretary.

Administrative / Biographical History

Mr Hugh Edwards of Prestatyn, Flintshire was the father-in-law of Sir Wynn Wheldon, Secretary and Registrar of the University College of North Wales. In the late 19th century he was the secretary of the London Welsh Choir.

No further biographical information was available at time of compilation of description.
