Administrative / Biographical History

Florence Farmborough (b. 1887 in Buckinghamshire) went to Kiev as a Governess in 1908 and then to Moscow in 1910. As a Nurse, VAD (Voluntary Aid Detachment), she served at Princess Galitzin's hospital in Moscow in 1914 and with the Russians on the Eastern Front from 1915 until 1917.
