Administrative / Biographical History

A. A. Cullen, Lieutenant, RFC (Royal Flying Corps) and RAF (Royal Air Force), served with No. 47 Squadron as an Observer in Macedonia and, after pilot training in Egypt in 1917, with No. 72 Squadron in Mesopotamia from Jan. 1918. He was taken POW (Prisoner of War) on 31 Aug. 1918 whilst on his way to assist the Dunsterforce in its defence of Baku.
