Administrative / Biographical History

M. R. Clarke was a female relation of Major Michael S. Clarke (donor); the papers relate mainly to his aunt, Ada Marjorie Clarke, and her service as a Nurse, VAD (Voluntary Aid Detachment), at Langstone Towers Relief Hospital, Hampshire, during the First World War.
