Administrative / Biographical History

G. W. Hutchinson (b. 1896 at Haslemere) was educated at Sidcut, a Quaker school in Somerset, before teaching at the Friend's school in Saffron Walden. He served with the Friends' Ambulance Unit, first at Dickebusch and then with Section Sanitaire Anglaise No. 19 on the Western Front, 1914-1918.
