Administrative / Biographical History

Humphrey Cecil Travell Stronge (1891-?), a Brigadier, was educated at the Royal Military College Sandhurst and seconded as an officer to the West African Frontier Force in 1914. He served in the Cameroons, German East Africa, and the Western Front, 1914-1918. Later he was the British Military Attache in Prague, 1938. Others of his papers have been deposited in the Bodleian Library, Oxford, and the Imperial War Museum, London.
