Notebook of Arthur Donald Oates, Prospect House, Halifax, containing: (1) Technical notes on spinning, finishing, winding, reeling, warping, and drawing processes and the machinery involved; (2) Details of experimental lots of yarn processed; (3) Specifications for machinery orders; (4) Detailed breakdown of cost of mill, warehouses, and shed, with loose note on depreciation; (5) Notes on patents and ideas for patents. The flyleaf contains a brief index to subjects covered in the notebook indicating the page numbers where they are to be found
