Administrative / Biographical History

The School Sites Act of 1841 and subsequent legislation in the 19th century made provision for the conveyance and endowment of sites for schools.

Acquisition Information

The Diocesan Registrar has deposited records relating to the Diocese of York at the Borthwick Institute since 1953.
