Administrative / Biographical History

John Radcliffe (1650-1714) was a physician who left money in trust for, among other things, the foundation of the Radcliffe Library, Radcliffe Infirmary and Radcliffe Observatory at Oxford. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.

The papers were deposited by the Radcliffe Trustees in 1976, 1977, 1979 and 1982.
