Collections of chemical and alchemical recipes, chiefly translated from Hindi; also one book of notes on farming (MS.3613).

Administrative / Biographical History

Edward Henry Cradock Monckton was born in 1812. He worked for the East India Company in Bengal before retiring to Fineshade Abbey in Northamptonshire. He died in 1878.
