- The Salvation Army International Heritage Centre is the repository for the official records of the organisation’s International and Territorial Headquarters. The collections reflect the broad range and geographical scope of The Salvation Army’s work throughout its 150-year history, including records relating to work in Europe, South Asia, Africa and the Americas, social services, UK churches or 'corps' and the personal papers of Salvation Army officers.
- History
- The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian church and charity founded by William Booth in East London in 1865. The International Heritage Centre was established in 1988 as the institutional archive for the records of The Salvation Army's International and UK Headquarters, both based in London. The Heritage Centre opened in its current location at William Booth College in 2011.
