Scope and Content

A collection of loose photographs measuring approximately 240 x 190 mm, with pencilled captions on the reverse. Of excellent technical quality, the photographs show scenes in and around Kingstown on a market day. The front of each print is imprinted 'J.C. Wilson, Photo: St. Vincent'.

Administrative / Biographical History

J.C. Wilson was a commercial photographer active in the West Indies from circa 1890 to circa 1910. He was based in Kingstown with a studio in James Street in 1909 and in Sharp Street in 1914. No further details are available.
