Scope and Content

Miscellaneous Latin American autographs, 1926-91, comprising letters to unknown correspondents by Alberto Hidalgo (1) and Octavio Paz (1); and letters to Robert Pring-Mill from Gonzalo Rojas (1) and Mario Vargas Llosa (2).

Administrative / Biographical History

The collection includes autographs of Alberto Hidalgo (1897-1967), Peruvian poet; Octavio Paz (1914-88), Mexican poet, writer and diplomat; Gonzalo Rojas (b. 1917), Chilean poet; and Mario Vargas Llosa (b. 1936), Peruvian novelist and essayist.
