Scope and Content

Mabilla, daughter of Roger Julyen of Harlton, confirms her gift (with warranty) to her sister Matilda of a messuage and croft in Great Eversden between the messuage formerly belonging to William Berenger, and the messuage of Roger Fenor, together with 14 acres in the fields of Great Eversden (which are described in detail) and 13d annual rent. Deed poll, witnessed by Roger le Clerk 'de Haule' of Great Eversden, Henry le Clerk of the same, James of Eversden, Henry le Godegrom of the same, Richard Fenor of Little Eversden, William le Clerk of the same, Walter Roche o the same, Nicholas Jacob of Harlton, Ralph Carbonel of the same, clerk, and many others. Seal wanting. Contemporary endorsement: 'Carta Matilde'. Further endorsed in pencil with suggestions as to date, in modern hand.
