The collection contains:
A CD containing scanned copies of three photographs from albums belonging to Gertrude Tunnicliffe, and one modern photograph (MS 838/1):
Copy of a sepia postcard photograph, taken c.1915-1920, of the farmhouse occupied by Mr G. Moody (farmer), built by his eldest son Frederick William Moody in 1887 [modern-day Bottom Farm, Laxton], with Mary Ellen Whitworth and her daughters Ethel and Nellie standing in front of the house;
Colour digital photograph of modern-day Bottom Farm in Laxton, taken by Joy Allison of Laxton in 2009, and sent to the donor of the CD;
Copy of a sepia photograph taken c.1893-1894 in front of Bottom Farm, labelled 'Nellie & Family', showing a family group comprising Eliza Moody, her daughter Mary Ellen Whitworth and son-in-law Samuel Whitworth, and grandchildren Ethel, Charles, Sam, Cyril and Helena Whitworth;
Copy of a sepia photograph taken in August 1925, showing five young people and a dog in one of Laxton's fields; one of the young men is standing on top of a horse-drawn cart laden with straw; the people have been identifed as Olive Tunnicliffe, George, Herbert and Barbara Whitworth, and possibly Bertha Whitworth.
The collection also contains four pages of typed and printed background information providing captions and explanatory notes for each of the photographs, and biographical and genealogical notes on the Moody family of Laxton, descended from Benjamin Moody, born 1750, and the Whitworth family of Laxton, descended from Thomas Whitworth, born 1835 (MS 838/2).
