Scope and Content

An attested copy of a Commission and Factory by John France and Ann France to Thomas Rattary, tobacconist and William Adam, manufacturer of Dundee. The document concerns houses and gardens belonging to the said John France at or near the village of Girvan, Ayrshire, Scotland. It was registered at Edinburgh in the presence of the Lords of Council and Session.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Reverend John France was a minister of the associate Presbyterian Congregation at Glade lion in the state of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Ann France was his wife.
