Scope and Content

Anticipating her forthcoming marriage to Matthew Barlowe MD of Cambridge (2nd party), Sarah Hobart of Lockerley, Hampshire, widow (1st party), leases her life interest in a property called Ravens Hall (Hampshire?) to Richard Ashley of East Deane, Hampshire, gent (3rd party), at a penny annual rent, to hold the same in trust for her until her son Nicholas Hobart is of age. Thereafter, provided Nicholas drops any legal action then in process against his mother or stepfather, his mother reserves the right to transfer to him the uses of the trust. Tripartite indenture, signed and sealed by Barlow and Hobart, witnessed by ?Francis Ashley, Elizabeth Ashley, Edward Sprage, and William Mearsh. Two adhesive labels attached, bearing numbers: '609' and '885'.
