An inventory of the household goods at Picton Castle, Pembrokeshire, made for Sir John Philipps, 4th bart, in October 1729.
It describes briefly the contents of rooms within the family's living-quarters and the kitchen and work area, providing a contemporary record of the interior arrangements of the castle. Fifty-seven maps and 'one picture in oyl' are listed but no books, silverware or jewellery. For a transcript see Major Francis Jones, 'Welsh Interiors: 1. Picton Castle, 1729', Archaeologia Cambrensis, 114 (1965), 48-59 (pp. 54-59).
