Administrative / Biographical History

Meirion Jones (1907-1970) was a primary school headmaster in Llandrillo, 1939-1945, Dyffryn Ardudwy, 1945-1950, and Bala, 1950-1970, Merionethshire. He was Secretary of the Merionethshire Urdd Gobaith Cymru committee, a member of the Urdd's Council and secretary of the Urdd National Eisteddfodau of 1936 and 1954. he came into the possession of a notebook of David John (D. J.) Williams (1886-1950) of Llanbedr, Merionethshire, author and schoolmaster.
