Boat time tickets, 1863; notebooks, possibly of Rees Emmanuel, containing drafted letters, short addresses and essays concerning the life of a collier and religious matters, 1863.
Boat time tickets, showing the destination load and journey times of the cargo vessels. Two books, which have been repaired with sellotape. Each book has been re-used as a note book, possibly by Rees Emmanuel, a collier in the Gwendraeth Valleys. In them he appears to have drafted letters, short addresses and essays, which may have been intended for submission to Eisteddfodau. They concern (inter alia) the life of a collier, safety lamps, the disestablishment of the Church in Ireland and other religious matters.
