Set of photographs of clinical staff at Birmingham hospitals, many of whom were also academic staff at the University of Birmingham Medical School. The photographs were taken on ward rounds and in demonstrations and lectures by David Wyndram a medical student at the University of Birmingham, and later passed to Peggy [Margaret] Rowley, a fellow medical student. The names of the staff members have been written on the reverse of the photographs, many of which also show medical students gathered around the member of staff, though their names are not provided

Margaret (Peggy) Mills (nee Rowley) studied medicine at the University of Birmingham and graduated with an MB Ch.B degree in 1938. In 1942 she married Wilfred Mills, a fellow medical student who also graduated in 1938. Margaret Mills worked as a consultant anaesthetist in Birmingham. She died in 2008

Custodial History
David Wyndram gave this set of photographs to Margaret [Peggy] Mills (nee Rowley), a fellow student who graduated in medicine from the University of Birmingham in 1938. After Peggy Mills' death in 2008 they were passed by her daughter to the editor of Aesculapius, the magazine of the University of Birmingham Medical and Dental Graduates Society. Keith Harding, the editor of Aesculapius, donated the photographs to the University Archives in October 2016
