Scope and Content

Bundles of letters addressed to Louisa Marian Williams, her sisters and brother, and written by members of their family and friends. Amongst the correspondents are former pupils of Louisa Marian Williams, now living in New Zealand and Australia, acquaintances living in the United States as well as a Czechoslovakian friend.

Administrative / Biographical History

Louisa Marian Williams was the daughter of Mr and Mrs A.J. Williams, of the Bee Hive, Llangefni, Anglesey and later of Y Wenllys, Caernarfon. She and her family were prominent members of Moriah C.M. Chapel in the town of Caernarfon, her father being one of the deacons. She had six brothers and sisters; amongst them, W. Lewis, A. Gwen, Olwen C., E. Nesta and Catherine Enid.

Louisa Marian Williams appears to have lived in Sheffield for a period, possibly as a teacher, before returning to her home town and living at Llys Menai, Sidney Road, Caernarfon.
