Consists of farm account book for Coton Hall Farm, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, includes ledger accounts of income and expenditure on house, farm, labour and other items; cropping records 1752-1765; inventories of live and dead farming stock 1745-1765; agreement by Lancelot LEE for leasing Coton Hall Farm to William CLARE for 3 years at a rent of 90 per annum: 1748 June 13; expenditure on threshing, cattle and other livestock, labour, hedging, threshing, ditching and personal items; a catalogue of books at Coton Hall: 1813 July 14 Creation dates: 1744-1769

Administrative / Biographical History

Coton Hall and Farm were about five miles south of Bridgnorth and one mile north of Aveley, Shropshire. During the Second World War it was used as a military asylum
