Administrative / Biographical History

D. Anthony T. Thain, MBE (1963), was born in 1921 and educated at Nether Edge Grammar School in Sheffield; Latymer Upper School; and King's College, Cambridge. He was on military service during 1940 to 1945 (attaining the rank of captain) and in 1949 entered the Colonial Administrative Service in Northern Nigeria.
