Arrangement

The subject based file organization in the original handlist has been superseded by cataloguing carried out in 2002. Where possible, minimal re-arrangement has occurred, but existing files have been re-arranged and re-numbered for intellectual coherence where necessary. Please use the references below to locate items from previous listings, however, please note that new file contents do not correspond exactly with previous file arrangement. Files 1 and 2 have been integrated into File 1; File 3 is now File 2; File 4 has been split into Files 3, 4 & 5; File 5 has been split into Files 6, 7, 8 ,9, & 10; File 6 is now File 11; File 7 has been split into Files 12, 13, & 14; File 10 has been split into Files 17 & 18; File 11 is now File 19; File 12 has been split into Files 20, 21, 22 & 23; File 13 is now File 24; For Files 14, 15, 21, 22, 23; 27, 28, 33 and 42 see Files 61 to 69 in the Portraits sub-section; File 16 is now File 25; File 18 is now File 26; Files 19 & 20 are now in File 54; File 24 is now File 27; File 25 is now File 53; File 26 is now File 58; File 29 is now File 45; File 30 is now File 46; File 31 and 32 are now File 48; File 34 is now File 49; File 35 is now File 52; Files 36, 37 & 39 are now File 31; File 43 is now File 56; File 44 is now File 50; File 45 is now File 55; 47 is 72; 48 is 73; 49 is 74; Oversize Files 50, 51, 52 & 53 are now Files 75, 76, 77 & 78 and are stored in the Strong Room plan chests. Bunana used instead of Bungana Lamalanga used instead of Lama Lana or Lamalana Identification numbers on the reverse of later prints preceded with a C appear next to images reproduced in the society journal 'The Southern Cross Log'.
