Administrative / Biographical History
Oliver Stillingfleet Locker-Lampson (1880-1954) was born in London and educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, becoming first a lawyer and then a Member of Parliament before the outbreak of the First World War. He served on the Western Front and in Russia commanding No. 15 Squadron, RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service) Armoured Car Squadrons, 1914-1917. He also served with the Home Guard in the Second World War, and was awarded CMG and DSO (Distinguished Service Order).
