Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Bob Lockyer has worked with and supported dance for over forty years. He was the Director, Producer and former Executive Producer of Dance programmes for the British Broadcasting Company (BBC), working with leading choreographers including Sir Frederick Ashton, Sir Kenneth MacMillan and Birgit Culberg. He was the co-founder of the very successful series Dance for the Camera and went on to teach dance for screen all over the world including South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America and Europe. He was the founder chair of Dance UK for the period 1982-1992. Bob Lockyer has an entry in Debrett's People of Today Online.
