Vivyan Henry Donnithorne (1886-1968) served in 11th Hampshire Regiment during First World War. He married Gladys Ingram (d. 1977) in 1916 and they became Church Missionary Society (CMS) missionaries to Western China in 1919 until 1945. They then served as missionaries with the West China Evangelistic Band at Pehpei 1943-1951 and then in Hong Kong from 1953.
