Scope and Content

William de Wyke of Elsefelde [Elsfield], Oxfordshire, confirms his gift (with warranty) to his son Nicholas de Wyke, of a messuage and virgate of land in Elsfield which William has held by the gift and feoffment of his father Hugh le Parker. Deed poll, witnessed by John de Berford, John Baldigdon', William ?Gillote, Ralph de Sanford, William Ingram, Robert Gamage, Walter ate Wille, William Wike jnr, and others. Pendant tagged red round armorial seal of William de Wyke, in green silk. Endorsed in a ?fifteenth-century hand: 'Carta de terris in / Ellisfeld Wyk'. In pencil at top right: '7'.
