Thomas Brand, farmer, of Haddenham, I. of E., for 5/- leases to Matthew Brackenbury, grocer, of Ely, 124 acres of fen ground described in the Lot Book and Wilburton Severals Lot 7, no. 2, part of the 95000 acres of Adventurers Land allotted for the...Bedford Level, formerly in occupation of James Brand, deceased, and now of Elizabeth Sutton, widow, to have and to hold...for one whole year...for transferring use into possession. Signed by Thos. Brand, with seal. Witnessed by John Salmon and John Speechly. On the back is a note, signed by C.N. Cole, Registrar, that the transaction is entered in the Register of the Governors of the Conservators of the Bedford Level.
