Scope and Content

A manuscript [4pp] in French, of 'The Memoirs of M. Frederic Febvre, Vice-Dean of the Comedie-Française'.

The manuscript - the first in a three-part parody - was published under the pseudonym 'Jean Maure' in 'Le Journal' on 12 December 1892. The other two parts were 'La Larme' [published in 'L'Écho de Paris', 29 August 1893] and 'Le Rapport de Frédéric Febvre (Fragments)' [published in 'Le Journal', 27 January 1895].
