Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Arthur Humble Evans (1855-1943) was the author of the volume on Birds in the Cambridge Natural History series, published in 1899, as well as co-author of the Aves Hawaiiensis (1890-1899). Later he wrote the A Flora of Cambridgeshire : with an appendix on the origin and drainage of the Fens (1939). From 1900-1913 Evans served as the Esquire Bedell of the University of Cambridge.

Manuscripts can be consulted on appointment only. The Museum of Zoology is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 17:00 pm. Access and reproduction is at the discretion of the Archivist.
