Collection consists of a miscellaneous accumulation of items deposited by Kyffin Williams. The material relates to the Williams family of Anglesey including 15 diaries of Reverend Richard Hughes Williams, which extend, with a gap of two years, from 1861 to 1903 and contain a fairly full record of the day-to-day activities and social life of a typical country parson of the period. Also contains a Commonplace Book, (1682-1701) by John Gadbury, London with entries by Richard Thomas of Trescawen, Anglesey and his son William Prichard. There is also material relating to the Kyffins of Maenan including wills, settlements and deeds connected with land in Anglesey, Denbighshire and Flintshire.

Administrative / Biographical History
J. Kyffin Williams (1918 -), Painter, of Llansadwrn, Anglesey and London is the grandson of Reverend Richard Hughes Williams (1837-1903) who was vicar of Llandrygarn and Bodwrog, Anglesey, 1864-77; rector of Llansadwrn, 1877-91; and rector of Llanfaethlu and Llanfwrog from 1891 until his death in 1903. He is also a descendant of the Kyffins of Maenan, who had property and connections across several counties in North Wales.
