Scope and Content

Four boxes of correspondence to and from, for the most part, David Steuart, Anna Maria Price Williams, Major Rhys Williams Price and Jane Steuart-Powell.

Administrative / Biographical History

The collection comprises the correspondence of the Steuart family, descended from the Steuarts of Dalguise, Perthshire, Scotland. The correspondence was generated between the years of 1786 and 1881 and covers family business, personal life, property, finance and personal interests, primarily botany and travel.
