Information for school and college pupils, teachers, parents and others on annual entrance information session at University of Strathclyde.

Administrative / Biographical History

The academic registrar was responsible for academic development planning, staff establishment and all student administration including admissions, registration, examinations, student records and statistics.

The post was discontinued in 1973 due to the growth of the University and the appointment of the then post holder to the post of registrar. The duties of the academic registrar became the responsibility of the registrar.

The Schools Liaison Service was established in 1989. It was responsible for the co-ordination of all schools liaison activity. In 1992, it changed its name to the Schools and Colleges Liaison Service.
