First Party: Agneta [Agnes], relict of the late Sir Gervase Clifton.

Second Party: Thomas Moor and Walter Sele.

Appointment by (1) of (2) to receive seisin of lands in Wodhouse [Woodhouse], Oulecotes [Oldcoates], Holme, Kyltsalt, Flixthorp and Harmeston in the manor of Hoddesoke [Hodsock] from William Rowkshawe, clerk, Thomas Orston and Robert Yole, clerk or their attorneys, according to the terms of an indenture made on 7 August 6 Hen VII [1491].

Administrative / Biographical History

Agnes, daughter of Sir Robert Constable of Flamborough, Yorkshire, was the wife of Sir Walter Griffith. After his death she married, as his second wife, Sir Gervase Clifton (d 1491), of Clifton and Hodsock in Nottinghamshire.
