Miscellaneous Items: Formation of Theatr Ieuenctid Môn.
These include minutes of committee meetings, a draft constitution, a report entitled The Work of a Drama Adviser and a programme for drama course held by Cheshire Education committee in 1969 from which the idea of T. I. M. originated.
Theatr Ieuenctid Môn has encouraged and sparked an interest in many aspects of the theatre amongst children and young people in Anglesey since its establishment in 2000. Weekly workshops are held under the guidance of experienced actors and over the years, this has provided a unique opportunity for many to develop new skills and to make new friends. The aim of the Theatre is to introduce all aspects of the theatre and drama, which over time, helps to develop and nurture individual self-confidence which is an essential trait in the big, wide world. Emphasis is placed on the personal and social development of children and young people, which in turn helps nurture improved self-confidence, self-esteem and self-respect. The Theatrs structure enables beneficiaries to work their way through the weekly lessons provided, up to specialist classes and sessions, and can involve signposting to casting opportunities for TV, theatre, film and radio work.
