Whereas William Bolton of Guilden Morden is possessed of certain property in Guilden Morden for the remainder of a term of a thousand years commencing 20 Sept. 1627; and whereas William Bolton is possessed of certain other property in Guilden Morden, on which stood cottages which were burnt down 29 March 1730, for the remainder of a term of a thousand years supposed to commence 29 Sept. 1627, the original lease being burnt 5 June 1723; William Bolton assigns to James Read of Guilden Morden the above mentioned property for the remainder of the terms of years. If William Bolton pays a certain sum by a certain date to James Read, lent by him on the sealing of the present agreement, the agreement is to be void. Witnessed by Susanna Pedley and John Pedley. On the back is a receipt for the agreed sum paid by James Read signed by William Bolton. Witnessed by the same. A seal is attached.
