Administrative / Biographical History

Larkhall Machine Tool Co Ltd was established in Larkhall, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, 1950  . From 1952 the company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rolls Royce Ltd, London, specialised in rebuilding and reconditioning machine tools used by Rolls Royce. The company also manufactured machine tools and, in the 1960s  , were marketing their own Morando Hollow Spindle Centre Lathe. The firm went into liquidation in 1983  .
