The six volumes contain c.530 botanical water-colours drawn by Mary Maria Fielding. The drawings (about 19 x 15 cm), some of which are on 'Turnbulls Superfine London Board' , are pasted into the volumes and the facing pages contain notes about many of the drawings, often giving a date and location for the plant. These notes were possibly made by Mrs. Fielding's husband Henry Borron Fielding.
