Also, a memorandum that John Williams of Llanfaelrhys, Caernarfonshire advanced a sum of £50 to a John Jones for the purpose of building a chapel in the parish of Rhiw in 1812.

Administrative / Biographical History
John Jones, 1773-1827, was born in Brynllefrith, Llanarmon, Caernarfonshire. He was, initially, a weaver by profession, but soon turned to preaching. He kept a school for 25 years before accepting his calling from Nebo Chapel in Rhiw, Aberdaron in 1820. He died at the age of 53.
