This archive holds the papers of Brian Ashby, including manuscript preparations for his two-stave transcription of Bach's Chorale Preludes for piano. Of particular significance are the many letters from the Bach scholars Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965) and William Gillies Whittaker (1876-1944). There is no hand list available at present.
