Bardsey Island lies off the cost of the Lleyn peninsula in north Wales. It was an important place of pilgrimage in Wales and legend has it that thousands of saints were buried there.
On the island there is a lighthouse, the ruins of a Medieval Abbey, farmhouses and a Calvinistic Methodist Chapel.
Today, the island is administered by the Bardsey Island Trust which was established in 1979.
