Scope and Content

Photograph album containing black and white photographs with captions, likely to have been compiled by a woman student probably studying Mathematics at the University of Birmingham between 1925 and 1928 and living at University House women's hall of residence for at least some of that time. Captions give the names of places and the initials of some of the individuals shown in the photographs. One photograph showing graduates at Degree Day 1928 also includes surnames and these are all graduates in Mathematics that year. Other photographs show student activities and university buildings, together with some images of locations around Birmingham including Sutton Park and Earlswood

Administrative / Biographical History

The person who compiled the photograph album is likely to have studied Mathematics at the University of Birmingham between 1925 and 1928 and lived at University House women's hall of residence. It has not been possible to identify her further
