The documents include birth and baptismal certificates of the Baynes family, late 19th century South Africa; also material relating to Mr (later Sir) Robert Williams, a founder and managing director of Tanganyika Concessions. Photographs include the Golden Kopje Mine, c1913, and Kansanshi Mine, Northern Rhodesia. W M Bayne's father, Dr William Hall Watson, was doctor at the Golden Kopje Mine, Sinoia, Southern Rhodesia.
