Administrative / Biographical History

Maurice Francis Headlam (1873-1956) was a civil servant. He was Assistant Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Austen Chamberlain, 1903-5, and Treasury Remembrancer and Deputy Paymaster for Ireland, 1912-20. Details are given in Who Was Who. His brother was Brigadier General Hugh R. Headlam (1877-1955).
